Privacy policy
Last updated 27 August 2026. NameHarmonyPh.com is a Filipino baby-name tool. Scores are sound-fit rankings — how a first name sits with both family surnames — not a cultural or legal verdict.
This policy is written for families in the Philippines and for OFW / overseas users, including people in the EU and UK. It explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.
Who runs this site
The site is operated under the NameHarmonyPh.com brand. For privacy requests write to privacy@nameharmonyph.com.
What counts as personal data here
Family surnames, parents' first names, a due date, notes about your baby, and your IP address can identify you or your household. We treat them as personal data. You do not need an account. Use only names and details you are allowed to share.
What we collect
Pages you browse
Ordinary web logs (IP address, time, page) may be kept by the hosting provider for security and uptime. We do not run advertising pixels or analytics tags on these pages.
Likes and ratings
A session cookie lets you heart-like a full name or star-rate a first name without signing in. Those marks stay tied to the session, not to a public profile.
Homepage and catalog search
Surnames you type in search are used only to open a surname or combination page. They are not sent to the AI provider unless you later submit the AI finder or compare form.
AI finder and compare
If you submit Find with AI or Compare, we process:
- Father's surname and mother's maiden surname (required)
- Optional parents' first names, siblings, liked or avoided first names, due date or zodiac, style notes, and other form options
- Your IP address and session id, so the rate limit (one live generation per type every 3 days) can work
We store that input, the generated result, and diagnostic logs on our server so the same surnames and options can show the saved set again, and so we can fix failures.
When family names go to an AI provider
A live AI request sends the form fields you submitted — including both family surnames and any optional names or notes — to a third-party language-model provider so we can generate or compare first names. That provider may process the request on servers outside the Philippines, including the United States or other countries.
We do not use that provider for homepage search, scored combination lists, or catalog browsing. Re-opening the same surnames and options within the rate-limit window uses our saved copy and does not call the model again.
Do not paste other people's private details (IDs, addresses, phone numbers, medical notes) into the forms. A due date is optional; leave it blank if you do not want it processed.
Why we process this
- To show sound-fit scores and name pages you asked for
- To generate or compare names when you submit those forms (your request is the instruction to do it)
- To enforce rate limits and stop abuse
- To keep the site working (session, security)
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
- Session cookie: until the browser session ends or the cookie expires
- Likes and ratings: while the session database is kept for the site
- AI input and results: while we need them to reuse your saved set, operate limits, and maintain the service — or until you ask us to delete your stored request
- Hosting logs: according to the host's usual security retention
Cookies
We set a session cookie so likes, ratings, and AI rate limits work. It is not an advertising cookie. You can block cookies in the browser; likes and live AI limits may then fail.
Search engines
Public name, surname, and combination pages may appear in search results. Your private AI form submissions are not published. Admin and generate endpoints are blocked from crawlers.
Your choices and rights
You can use the scored lists without the AI forms. You can leave optional fields blank. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and under the GDPR / UK GDPR if those laws apply to you, you may ask us to say what we hold about a request you made, to correct it, or to delete stored AI logs and related session marks where we can identify them.
Email privacy@nameharmonyph.com from a mailbox you control, and include the approximate date, the two surnames you submitted, and whether it was Find with AI or Compare. We may need enough detail to find the row without opening other families' data. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
This site is for adults choosing a baby name. Do not submit a child's personal data beyond a first name you are considering and the family surnames that will appear on the birth certificate.
Changes
If we add analytics, accounts, or a new processor in a way that changes this picture, we will update this page and the date above.
